Dan + Shay are set to release their most personal work to date with the global premiere of their new single, “Say So,” out now (LISTEN HERE). The track serves as a stark, hope-filled reminder of the critical importance of mental health awareness and community support. Also available today is the moving and powerful music video, conceptualized and directed by the duo’s Dan Smyers. 
 
“‘Say So’ is a reminder that no matter what you are going through, you don’t have to go through it alone,” they shared. “We wrote this song from a very personal place and could not be prouder to stand behind the message.”
 
Written by Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney, Jimmy Robbins, and David Hodges, and co-produced by Smyers and Scott Hendricks, “Say So” was born from a place of deep reflection following the sudden, unexpected loss of someone close to the duo.
 
Unflinchingly addressing the shock of loss and the unseen burdens individuals carry, the song offers a lifeline to those struggling in silence and aims to provide a sanctuary for the listener by promising unwavering presence.
 
“Say So” serves as a first look at more Dan + Shay music coming this year. This new chapter follows one of the most prolific seasons of the duo’s 12-year career, during which they have amassed over 13 billion global streams and 11 #1 singles at country radio.
