Australian group Confidence Man played to a packed 3Olympia in Dublin on the 10th of December, bringing their current tour to an end, and what an end it was.
Support was from Fcukers who, despite being a 3 piece of just vocals, bass/synth and drums, managed to fill the venue with their own brand of ‘90s inspired baggy dance music and get everyone nice and toasty for the main act.
Confidence Man are one of those acts who need to be experienced live at least once, mostly for their energetic performances, multiple costume changes, synchronised dance moves and extravagant stage/lighting show.
This, mixed with their catchy as fcuk (sorry) electropop is a perfect combination for anyone who’s either into the genre, or into not being able to resist dancing along for an entire gig.
Literally everyone in the place, even the people upstairs in the balcony (notice I didn’t say seats, cos pretty soon no one was sitting down) along with the security were moving along in some form or other for the whole show.
This is not something you see every night in any venue, and even I was unable to stop my head or foot from tapping along.
A truly entertaining gig from a relatively new but impressively confident group, and well worth checking out next time they return.
