While best known for his contributions to independent rock music with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah over the last two decades, few are aware that the piano is the first, and primary compositional, instrument of Alec Ounsworth. Piano versions of his songs have occasionally made appearances on albums, on bonus tracks, and in live shows.
Most recently, an intimate tour across Europe has been sold out, complemented by the release of a limited 10” vinyl and select tracks available on digital platforms. With more Piano & Voice shows to come, the vinyl is available on tour only. These versions showcase the depth and resolute character of CYHSY‘s repertoire in its purest form.
