Following the success of her debut solo EP VII, and sold-out co-headlining tour with Voilá, renowned powerhouse vocalist of the alternative sensation Against The Current, Chrissy Costanza, who captivates 4.5 million listeners monthly on Spotify and has garnered over 3 billion streams, made a bold entrance into the solo music scene. Showcasing her phenomenal vocal talent and songwriting, Costanza has launched an anthemic pop-rock single “Perfect Crime” just prior to embarking on her upcoming UK/EU leg of the tour.
Costanza comments “The ‘Perfect Crime’ is about the silent, invisible ways we self-destruct—a crime no one knows you’ve committed because it’s all hidden behind a smile. The song has a grainy rock sound; it’s intense and defiant. I wanted to bring not only attention to those parts of ourselves we suppress, but express those raw emotions that often stay unspoken. I hope it opens up conversations about what we often keep hidden.”
The seven tracks on VII represented a new chapter for Costanza. She previously shared “VII is a true reflection of my journey as an artist and every track holds a piece of my evolution—both musically and personally. I wanted to push boundaries, experiment with new sounds, and give my fans something raw and real. It’s a new chapter for me that feels closer to my soul than ever before. Through these seven songs, I explored my love for fantasy and mythology, imagining myself as Icarus with wings of wax and feathers, hurtling towards the sun.”
VII tracklist:
1. But, What If I Fly
2. 7 Minutes In Hell
3. Pick Your Poison
4. If Looks Could Kill
5. You’d Be Right
6. Some Like It Hot
7. I Tried To Act Your Age
