After premiering on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Pop’ with Mollie King last night, today, Thursday 10th October, emerging pop icon Chloe Qisha releases her incredible third single, ‘Sexy Goodbye’. Today also sees Chloe announce her forthcoming self-titled debut EP, Chloe Qisha, which is set for release on Friday 15th November 2024.
‘Sexy Goodbye’ follows the release of recent single ‘I Lied, I’m Sorry’ (which has already amassed over 1 million streams) and ‘VCR Home Video’ and once again demonstrates why she is fast becoming the UK’s next breakout pop artist. This new single sees Chloe creates another future pop hit exuding in vibrant, upbeat melodies that incorporate subtle hints of funk and disco, in turn providing the track with an eclectic mix of sounds.
Speaking about the ‘Sexy Goodbye’, Chloe Qisha said:
“It’s super rare as a songwriter to create a song that you can truthfully say is one of your favourite songs ever (because we’re usually so critical of our own work), but Sexy Goodbye is that song for me. The song is about wanting to leave a relationship on your best form – fighting the urge to be sad and hoping that their last impression of you is, ‘damn, they look good.’ We really wanted it to be painfully honest and funny; and we definitely leaned into that as much as possible for the lyrics. I love writing sad/happy songs. I want people to be crying in the club to this song!”
These recent singles, all of which feature on the forthcoming EP, are an exciting signpost of what is to come from one of the most electrifying, artistically proficient, and versatile pop artists to emerge in recent years. The EP has been a work in progress for one year between Chloe and her close collaborator Rob Milton – the pair of them have created something truly unique for the pop space that is ready to make its mark this autumn.
