Blue Moose feat. Garron Noone – have just released the video “Black” (Pearl Jam Cover) read our review here

It’s not often that you hear a Pearl Jam cover and think… “My god that is absolutely Delicious”. But here I am Tuesday morning, 9am, coffee in hand and my jaw on the floor. Garron Noone is a name that has certainly crept it’s way inside all Irish doors and abroad. The Americans fell in love with him, and I even have friends in Malta who can’t get enough. And so, it should be.

I have never met the man, and all I know of him is what he puts out on his socials, but like all his other fans, I too, am inspired by this man.

Kicking the absolute ass off the agoraphobia demon, Garron has risen not only in popularity, but he has risen from a dark place, which I can only assume tormented him for some time. Holding him back from accomplishing his goals and grabbing his hobbies and talents by the horns. The success of this man should inspire all to live life exactly how they want to. From the outside looking in, this is what Garron seems to be doing now.

Not just a funny man. A damn handsome man and dare I say it… A delicious man. I knew Garron was a singer and a guitar player from the early time of first seeing him, and I was blown away then as much as I still am now. In 2020 he uploaded an absolutely beautiful recording of himself at home showing some incredibly talented guitar skills. Capo’d and plucked beautifully, like a track from “Hand Built Robots” by Newton Faulkner.

Requests were coming in thick and fast for Garron to show his skills and share that beautiful voice with the world, and so he stuck right by his Irishness and performed a cover of Raglan Road. A short clip indeed, but my god, that voice. Deep and smooth.

This morning however, I was struck by a force that climbed my spine, forcing the hairs to stick right up. A force that pushed tears from my eye sockets down my hairy cheek and then pulled my lips into a smile of relief. Relief that the world still has people like Garron pushing kindness, love, passion and Rock and Roll.

Not only is he an amazing role model for younger social media users to look up to, but he’s now pushing the absolute “Gospel” of Rock and Roll and even more so … Pearl Jam.

Introducing BLUE MOOSE.

When is it, that you pay attention to a wedding band, other than when you are attending a wedding? For the general public, probably never. WELL YOU SHOULD! Because outside of that 2- hour slot they have at your mates wedding, wedding bands are nonstop, every day, working tirelessly to not only make a living, but to be the best musicians they can be. Blue Moose are not just a wedding band though, they are one of Ireland’s best Cover bands and constantly out the door with gigs. From Wedding’s to Corporate events, to Festivals and even down to your local pub.

Blue Moose began to record live performance videos to show case their talents and of course, reach further out into the crowd to reel in those fans. The videos, titled “The Guilty Pleasure Set List” were recorded by the legend, WOLFF (@thisiswolff) Incredible photographer, touring with the likes of The Coronas and Gavin James. And an incredible musician himself. The videos were gaining a lot of traction on social media, and what better way to further that reach, then to bring on some collaborators.

There is nothing I love more than a good collab between artists. Bands such as Scary Pockets, Pomplamoose, Ezra Collective and Vulfpeck are some of my top performers that I cant get enough of on YouTube. Bringing together an array of musicians, all for one cause. JOY. Blue Moose brought in Kiera Dignam for their first special guest. On the epic power ballad by Heart, “Alone”.

Next up they had Jake Carter perform on “I don’t Wanna Wait” by David Guetta, which I quickly skipped past, because, well David Guetta being performed by a full band is just not something I want to listen to, for more than 5 seconds. But, in saying that, it was evidently performed extremely well, and Jake has some pipes on him no doubt.

This brings us back up to this morning, 9am, coffee in hand and my jaw on the floor. Mr Noone himself, on the set of the “guilty pleasure set list”. The song of choice… “Black” by Pearl Jam. “Jim Morrison-esque baritone” & “Jim Morrison-like vocal growl “is what has been used to describe Eddie Vedder’s (Pearl Jam) voice. Garron is coming in with all the above, but also with a tone that just spreads like butter across the music. Exploding on Tik Tok as soon as this video was posted, Fans had a lot to say and ran straight to Youtube to voice their opinions. Read for yourself below:

“Came here from TikTok like others. Holy shit, this was the content I didn’t know I needed…any pearl jam cover needs to be done exceptionally well to get my approval. Nice work”

“My favourite song from my favourite album. I can’t even describe what this song means to me so never thought I could enjoy a cover (almost) as much as the original. Unbelievable”

“Here from Tiktok. That was beautiful. Garron’s voice is stunning, heartbreaking, unforgettable.”

“Tears and laughter, ache and joy! Flawlessly captured not only the sound, but the swell of emotion within! Absolutely gobsmacked in the best possible way!” The Mayo man shapeshifts into an entirely different dimension, and we are now seeing true emotion ooze from his core. Eyes closed and passion incapsulated by deliciousness.

As I said, I knew Garron was a musician and had a serios voice, but this video, this view inside of what he truly is capable of, has made me very excited for what might be next to come. Coming out of his shell and beating agoraphobia, to now becoming his true self and bringing so much laughter and smiles to our Irish Society and a far. Honing in on his talents and skills as a singer and musician and performing this incredible cover of Black.

Garron is only now, at the beginning of this adventure through life, and I honestly see incredible things ahead of him, if he continues this path.

From me and all of your other fans, Garron, Please keep the covers & originals coming, and good luck with this exciting career.
