Black Stone Cherry –  release new single ‘Have You Ever Been Lonely’ and announce special edition Record Store Day album

BLACK STONE CHERRY are proud to announce their new Record Store Day exclusive LP, entitled This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD album. The band really likes it. Due for release physically on 12th April and digitally on 18th April via Mascot Records, this collection includes B-sides, covers, live tracks, and previously unreleased songs taken from the band’s expansive discography together for the first time on a limited-edition vinyl.

In celebration of the news, the band have shared a previously unreleased single from the upcoming album, ‘Have You Ever Been Lonely‘. Speaking on the new single, the band state: “‘Have You Ever Been Lonely’ is a song of hope, reminding us that even in our loneliest hour someone else has felt that and it is always worth it to keep moving.”

Some of these songs were previously released as bonus tracks taken from deluxe configurations of BSC’s catalogue. Other tracks are previously unreleased live recordings. Side A contains the studio tracks (bonus tracks, B-sides, Cherryfied covers of The Cult, Tina Turner and Tracy Chapman, plus guest vocals from Ayron Jones, John Cooper (Skillet), Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), and Lzzy Hale (Halestorm). Side B has the live tracks. This is the first time that all of these tracks will be available in one physical collection.

On the upcoming release, BLACK STONE CHERRY share: “We are so honoured and excited to finally have something to offer as a special Record Store Day Release! As vinyl lovers, collectors, and ambassadors for any local record shop out there, this is something we have wanted to do for many years. We have put an incredible collection of songs together for this. Some live, some collaborations, some unreleased! We hope you like it! As the title says, we really do!”

The release also features the latest version of ‘Out Of Pocket‘, with guest vocals from Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage. The original recording has been streamed five million times, while cumulative plays across all DSPs of the tracks on latest album Screamin’ At The Sky now exceeds 25 million total streams. Total streams for the songs on prior album The Human Condition now exceed 80 million plays.
