Irish-Italian indie-alternative band Big Sleep returned home to a packed Academy on Friday night, delivering a triumphant and heartfelt show that proved exactly why their star is quickly rising. Fresh off the release of their debut album “Holy Show,” the band has been earning international attention with sold-out shows across the UK and Europe and their Dublin crowd showed just how proud they are of their hometown heroes.
From the moment the band took the stage, the energy in the room was electric. Fans cheered every note, with the front row singing along word for word to favourites like “In My Head” and “Two Cents.” The genuine smiles shared between band members as they spotted familiar faces and devoted fans only added to the warmth of the night.
Their sound a seamless blend of smooth indie grooves and soulful melodies filled the venue with an effortless charm. Each song felt like a celebration, both of how far Big Sleep have come and of what’s still ahead.
It was a special homecoming for one of Dublin’s most exciting rising acts and a night that made it clear that Big Sleep are destined for even bigger stages.
