Beth McCarthy announced a EU/UK tour awhile back and it kicked off on the twelfth of this month and runs till the end of May taking in twelve cities with one of those being Dublin and playing at The Academy 2 which sold out.
Opening in Dublin was London-based singer-songwriter Catty (Pearson) who took the stage after an intro of ”Bella Donna” and preceded to sing after which she to played another six tunes to the delight of the crowd and also interacted with them on many occasions between songs.
Bit of a brake between acts as is the way and a well needed breather in the venue as the room has heated up. But it wasn’t long before Beth came bounding on to the stage to give the crowd a lively and energetic performance and also interacting with those in attendance a good lot between songs in the form of song introductions and personal experiences of being Bi and female relationships, at one point asking a crowd member did they like female sex and the reply was a HARD YES!.
On the music side of things it was a fantastic feast of pop!
