Bell X1’s David Geraghty – releases synth pop Single ‘Miss Manhattan’ ahead of album KOMOREBI

February saw the release of ‘Valentine’, the first single from composer and multi-instrumentalist David Geraghty’s  upcoming album ‘Komorebi’ (Sept 18th)

The single saw widespread support from radio and press, including support on The Irish Times, Hot Press, Pure M Zine, RTE Radio 1, 2FM, Dublin City FM, Radio Nova, Amazing Radio, Carlow FM and more.

Normal Two Point Zero was the follow up single from Geraghty and is a psychedelic slice of synth pop. The track explores themes around celebrating joy and sense of belonging with our tribe while reflecting on the fall out and loss when these ties are torn apart.
Landing as Jenny Greene’s Track of The Week on 2FM, the track saw support across mainstream and regional Irish radio.

Now David Geraghty brings you the mysterious synth infused indie single ‘Miss Manhattan’ an homage to one Audrey Munson (1891-1996). She has been referred to as the world’s first supermodel.  She also became the Panama-Pacific poster girl and, with her mother’s permission, became one of the first actresses to appear nude on film.

Her life story is one of celebrity highs and tragic lows that, at one point, were shrouded in obsession and murder.
On stumbling across her story, David set out to deliver Audrey’s story, from the days of Beaux-Arts architecture and black & white film, to a contemporary world, dressed in neon pop-synth aesthetics. The video for the song is directed by the award winning and super-talented Nicky Larkin. It also features Cherrie Ontop (Matt Cavan) who powerfully embodies the bold and provocative spirit that Audrey is said to have possessed.

Album focus track, the mysterious synth heavy alt pop ‘Miss Manhattan’ is out now, album ‘Komorebi’ is set for release on September 18th, and a whole lotta live is on the cards for September and October
