Beauty Sleep – have shared the new single ‘Send It Out To Sea’

Derry “radical alt-pop” duo BEAUTY SLEEP have revealed their new single ‘Send It Out To Sea’, today,September 17th.

The pair will release their highly-anticipated second album, The Whole Damn Cake, on 17th October 2025 via Alcopop! Records.

The latest track to be taken from the record, ‘Send It To The Sea’ is a song about telling your deepest secrets to the ocean, processing difficult emotions whilst staring at wild waves and indulging hazy daydreams on the west coast of Ireland.

Written one evening during a road trip the couple took from the most northerly point of Ireland (Malin Head) to the most southerly (Mizen Head), camping on cliffs down the west coast as they went, with a guitar and a little battery powered Casio keyboard to keep them company, the track was inspired by staring at the Atlantic Ocean roaring with waves for days—a place where everything feels fantastically important and ridiculously insignificant all at once.

Commenting on the song, the band’s Cheylene Murphy says: “There’s certain experiences I don’t think I’ve ever processed, but the waves, the sea, the horizon coax them out of me. This song is about that feeling.”
