Today, Angels of Libra announces a headline show at Dublin’s Soundhouse, 28th April 2024.
Angels of Libra, the new Soul & Folk phenomenon from Hamburg, Motown is calling.
Dennis Rux (guitar), David Nesselhauf (Bass), Lucas Kochbeck (drums), Chris Haertel (organ, synthesizer) are musicians with heart and soul. Coming from renowned projects such as Hamburg Spinners, Tetrao Urogallus, Diazpora, Rhonda etc., they founded their own project in early 2020: ‘Angels of Libra‘ With a high affinity to analog recording techniques, 60’ soul revue concepts and film scores, they create their own compositions reminiscent of Air, Khruangbin or Ennio Morricone.
After meeting Irish singer Nathan Johnston in 2020, the band teamed up to release their first LP – ‘Nathan Johnston & the Angels of Libra’ (2022.) They have since gone on to release two more albums – ‘Revelations’ (2023) and ‘Maiiah & The Angels of Libra’ (2023) with a brand new record set for release later this year.
