Anastasia Coope / Jasmine Wood – Upstairs at Whelan’s, Dublin 07.09.2024

All the way from Cold Spring, a small town in upstate New York’s Hudson Valley to Whelans of Dublin Anastasia Coope played the intimate upstairs room of the famous Dublin venue. Known for her haunting baritone.
Which was evident throughout her set and ever so mesmerising as she kept the attentive audience silent throughout whilst they listened to her samples and fuzzed out guitar in very low light on stage as there was only one side spot slightly on her at all times which add even more to the vocal affects.

Support on the night came from American composer based in Dublin Jasmine Wood who I believe used to perform under the moniker Haste.
She treated those in attendance to a fantastic set of electronic, experimental shoegaze using both Piano Reverb and guitar accompanied with vocals.
