My second trip out to this years series of shows at as called by the band last night ” this mystical place” and that being the wonderful Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre and that aforementioned band being the also wonderful Amble. The growth of Amble has been a fast one and after last night I can see why, these guys sold out the Amphitheatre in no time at all and have also sold out three nights at Dublin’s 3Olympia.
Last night the sold-out audience were not only treated to the 3 piece , the they were joined at times by the three piece band that were the support which was Seánie Bermingham.
Seánie him himself was on stage with the band for the whole set as lead singer Robbie Cunningham was unfortunately unable to play guitar due to having one arm in a cast.
This didn’t take anything any from the show, if anything it added a whole new and different dimension to it.
There were also birthday celebrations on the night as the band surprised Ross Mc Nerney with a birthday cake as he has just turned 30.
