Alexandra Savior’s performance at The Academy Dublin unfolded with the same understated confidence that defines her music. Opening with “Saving Grace,” “Cupid,” and “Burn In Hell,”she immediately immersed the audience in a world of smoky guitars, noir-pop textures and effortless vocals. Rather than commanding the stage through theatrics, Savior allowed the songs to speak for themselves, with the crowd hanging on every word , the front barrier flanked with as dedicated fan base
As the set moved through “Let Me Out,” “Vanishing Point,” “Archer,” and “Girlie,” the band gradually expanded the sonic palette, balancing dreamy melodies with darker indie rock influences. Fans responded warmly to favourites such as “Audeline” and “Crying All the Time,” while “Send Her Back” injected a welcome burst of energy before the evening’s reflective close.
It was the end of the tour and there was a nice shout out to the sound engineer who got a great applause and his name crowd chanted. the absence of stage monitors and all IEM setup gave a nod to very polished stage management and a tight well rehersed band so they and Alexandra were able to drop into a large or small venue with ease throughout their tour
After a few we’ll do a “couple more” towards the end of the set a walk off walk on encore Finished up with “Goodbye, Old Friend,” Savior left the stage to sustained applause, having delivered a performance built on atmosphere, subtle musicianship and emotional restraint. It was a reminder that her greatest strength lies not in spectacle, but in her ability to captivate a room through cinematic songwriting and quiet confidence.
Amy Michelle opened the night to as she put it a Gorgeous wonderful crowd, she only had 6 songs decided on a napkin which she shared with the crowd , she gave a nice shout out to her Dress designer Aisling Duffy , the 4th song we were treated to a lovely ambient electric guitar sound changing out the acoustic of the first 3 , a quirky slow version of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls just wanna have fun” brought the venue to a nice pause before Alexandra took the stage
