Prepare to descend into the depths of depression with After Taste’s new track and video ‘Your Flesh’, which is taken from the band’s recently announced album ‘Hungry For Life’. The new offering will be released on May 16th, 2025.
Vocalist/guitarist Dave Meester comments on the track: “Your Flesh’ is my metaphor for depression. An embodiment of a feeling and the desperate effort to hold on, even though your fingers are burning. Ultimately, we learn to live with our demons, much more so than driving them away.“
Known for weaving melancholic doom metal with an electronic pulse, this release is a chilling exploration of love, loss, and the fragility of the human mind. With echoes of Paradise Lost, the bleak humor of Type O Negative, and the crushing weight of Triptykon, After Taste masterfully captures the emptiness beneath the surface.
More news on the album, such as cover artwork and track-list, will be announced soon.
