Prepare to descend into the depths of despair with After Taste’s new track and video ‘Mind Over Body’, an anthem that lingers in the shadows of gothic, industrial and doom metal.
Vocalist/guitarist Dave Meester comments on the track: “I have always been fascinated by the concept of fantasizing, especially a fantasy about another person. This person has no control over your fantasy of them, which can feel very exciting and arousing. Ironically, it also portraits a certain loneliness. The fantasy will never be reality.“
After Taste are simultaneously announcing their brand new album ‘Hungry For Live’, which will be released on May 16, 2025. More news on the album, such as cover artwork and track-list, will be announced soon.
Known for weaving melancholic doom metal with an electronic pulse, this release is a chilling exploration of love, loss, and the fragility of the human mind. With echoes of Paradise Lost, the bleak humor of Type O Negative, and the crushing weight of Triptykon, After Taste masterfully captures the emptiness beneath the surface.
After Taste have unveiled the very first live shows for 2025, including the album release show! A full list of confirmed dates can be found below.
