Dublin-based indie-rock band The Coronas today announced they will return to play Live at the Marquee Cork on Saturday 26th June 2027. Tickets for this date will go on sale this Thursday 5th November at 9am from Ticketmaster.ie
The Coronas recently released their first-ever double A-side single ‘End The Day With You / My Biggest Nightmare’ two very different songs that show contrasting sides of the band. “Like a double A-side,” says frontman Danny O’Reilly. “Old school, but a first for us.” End The Day With You is a Beatles-y acoustic beauty, while My Biggest Nightmare is a chaotic, synth-driven scorcher about a gig gone spectacularly wrong.
The Coronas are celebrating 20 years together. Two decades of albums, sold-out tours, Christmas shows, festival stages, and some interesting adventures around the world.
The Coronas emerged at a time when bands still sold CDs from the back of vans and at merch desks. Since then, Danny, Knoxy and Conor have navigated an industry transformed almost beyond recognition, while steadily building an audience at home and internationally.
More than 20 years later, the scale may have changed, but the fundamentals haven’t. They are still writing songs together. They still regard themselves, first and foremost, as a live band and that relationship with their audience remains as strong as ever.
