Belfast folk artist Good Swim has released his melancholic new single ‘Sink Like A Stone’.
This is the final single to be released ahead of his debut album, The Mountains Sure Don’t Give A Damn About The Sea, which is out on October 30th (PRE-SAVE HERE).
The album arrives after extensive praise across RTÉ Radio 1, Today FM, BBC Radio Ulster, Hot Press, JOE.ie, Sunday Life, The Belfast Telegraph and more for previous singles ‘A Mark On You’, and ‘Chasing Shadows’.
‘Sink Like A Stone’ is one of the Belfast native’s most poignant tracks, exploring doubt and the feeling of losing control in a relationship. The lyrics are filled with striking images of ash, broken mirrors, blood and thunder, capturing the weight of trying to keep going when everything starts to fall apart.

The final release before The Mountains Sure Don’t Give A Damn About The Sea, the debut album marks the end of a twelve-year hiatus from recording, after McConnell booked a single session with producer Michael Bell at Start Together Studios, Belfast. The session quickly expanded into a project that needed to grow, and Good Swim was born, rippling across Northern Ireland’s folk scene.
