Nicko McBrain – announces his autobiography ‘Hello Boys And Girls!’

Harper Nonfiction are set to publish the thrilling, hilarious and deeply personal autobiography of Iron Maiden’s unstoppable drummer, Nicko McBrain. Hello Boys and Girls! will publish into hardback, ebook and audio on 22nd October 2026.

Nicko McBrain is the legendary drummer for Iron Maiden, joining the band in 1982, after stints with artists like Streetwalkers, Pat Travers and Trust and honing his craft from decades of session work among the highly competitive mean streets and studios of London’s Soho. Through his powerful, precise drumming and charismatic stage presence, the long-serving drummer became a metal icon, pivotal in shaping Iron Maiden’s dynamic sound.

Nicko McBrain is the legendary drummer for Iron Maiden, joining the band in 1982. Known for his powerful, precise drumming and energetic stage presence, he has become a metal icon and role model for many modern metal and rock drummers. Honing his craft and style with decades of session work that brought him into contact with his peers Keith Moon, John Bonham, Phil Collins, Ian Paice, Carmine Appice and Buddy Rich. He lives at home in Florida, USA with his wife Rebecca, their cat, Lola, and two Yorkshire Terriers, Tigerlily and Tinkerbell.
