“God’s Intercom” is the initial single from Bad Mothers Union’s debut album, “Sore Losers”. The single is set to release on January 8th 2026.
The track is reminiscent of 1970s krautrock, but with a good measure of psych thrown in as well. “The lyrics are stream of consciousness ramblings. There’s friends from my youth in there, existential dread, and my favourite, self doubt. Or you can forget about all that and just vibe to the beat and let it all wash over you.”
Bad Mothers Union was established in Kilkenny by front man Conor Kavanagh, and has existed in various forms throughout its tenure.
As of Q4 2025, the current line up of the band is Conor Kavanagh, Shay English, James O’Neill, Tim Flood, and Ethan Corcoran.
Bad Mothers Union have created a community among musicians, artists, (and those who are able for it) across Ireland.
No venue or crowd is too small, the band are purely interested in sharing their vision of music inspired by artists like Shellac, Queens of the Stone Age, David Lynch, Iggy Pop, and Jane’s Addiction.
Bad Mothers Union live are an experience that combines somber atmospheric lows with cascading almost soaring highs.
