Electric Six returned to Dublin with pure, unfiltered chaos in the best way imaginable. The Detroit rock icons packed The Academy for a massive 26-song set that never once let the energy dip. Known for their wild blend of rock, disco, punk, and new wave, the band delivered a night of explosive performances, sharp humour, and the kind of stage presence that only decades of experience can perfect.
From the moment they launched into the first song, the crowd was fully locked in, buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Fan favourites like “Danger! High Voltage”, “Gay Bar”, “Synthesizer”, and “Down at McDonnelz” shook the room as the audience shouted back every lyric. Electric Six’s unmistakable charisma, big movements, big personalities, and big sound made it feel like one long adrenaline rush from start to finish.
Supporting the night was Iann Brennan and The Echoes, bringing a powerful and confident set that warmed the crowd up perfectly. Dublin-born Brennan has carved out a signature indie-rock sound featuring soaring, anthemic vocals and gritty guitars, imagine Kings of Leon meets Stereophonics with a touch of Noel Gallagher swagger. Following a successful run with his debut album Start As You Mean To Go On, multiple sold-out shows, and his 2025 single “Ghosts”, Brennan proved he’s an artist with serious momentum. His performance set the tone with energy, skill, and undeniable stage presence.
A night of high-voltage rock energy, two massive performances, and a crowd that never stopped moving. Electric Six’s return to Dublin was nothing short of electric.
