Nostalgia was always going to be the biggest selling point of Five’s Keep On Movin’ Tour 2025, and at Dublin’s 3Arena, the band leaned into it with confidence and occasionally, a little too heavily. Still, for a group returning to the stage decades after their late-90s peak, Five delivered a night that balanced lavish spectacle with moments that reminded the crowd why they dominated charts in their heyday.
From the moment the lights dropped, it was clear the production budget had been spent generously. A towering scaffolding structure several metres high framed the back of the stage, packed with lighting rigs that pulsed, flashed, and at times word FIVE in bold, stadium-sized lettering. Confetti cannons lined the front of the stage, primed and ready, while a cicular gangway jutted into the crowd, which formed a circular pit that became a key focal point throughout the night. It was an impressive setup.
The audience, largely women in their mid-thirties and early forties, embraced the night with open enthusiasm. Many had clearly grown up during Five’s peak years, and the atmosphere carried a warm, communal sense of reliving teenage memories. Sing-alongs to”Keep On Movin” and ”Everybody Get U” and the cover of Queens ”We Will Rock You” echoed through the arena with infectious energy, often drowning out the vocals onstage.
By the time the final confetti burst showered the gangway and the last chorus rang out, the crowd left satisfied, if not blown away. Five’s Dublin stop proved that while the group may not be the polished pop machine they once were, they still know how to deliver a fun, nostalgia-charged night. And for most fans in attendance, that was more than enough.
