Fresh off the release of her debut record “My First Album” this past July, UK artist Jessica Winter lit up The Academy 2 with a dazzling and dynamic performance. Joined by her duo partner, the pair brought unstoppable energy to the stage with synchronized dance moves, playful choreography, and a dramatic presence that had the crowd hooked from the very first note.
Jessica’s blend of art-pop and electronic flair came to life through stunning vocals and fearless performance style. At one point, she slowed things down, taking to the keyboard for a beautifully emotional song that showcased her range and artistry, before launching straight back into high-energy dance tracks that had the room moving again. A highlight of the night came when she invited fans up on stage to dance with her, turning the show into one big celebration of fun and connection.
Opening the night were Beauty Sleep, an alt-pop duo from Derry who won the crowd over instantly. Performing tracks from both their debut album “Be Kind” and their latest release “The Whole Damn Cake,” they built the perfect buzz for what was to come. The duo’s chemistry shone as they swapped between instruments, from keytar to bass to guitar, while harmonizing effortlessly, showing off just how talented they truly are.
It was an evening of colour, creativity, and pure joy, a perfect showcase of pop brilliance from two acts that know exactly how to command a stage.
