Nashville’s rising country star Tanner Adell brought a taste of the American South to Dublin’s The Academy 2, delivering a high-energy performance packed with charm, sass, and sequins. From the moment she stepped on stage in a white Stetson, matching knee-high boots, and a salmon-hued sequined dress hitched up just right, it was clear the crowd were in for a fun and fiery evening.
Tanner’s presence was magnetic, exuding confidence and humor as she powered through a setlist filled with fan-favorite singles and standout moments. From the first note, the crowd, many dressed in their own cowboy hats and boots, were completely engaged, singing along to every word and transforming the venue into a country music hoedown.
Early in the night, Tanner charmed the crowd with her humor, warning them with a laugh, “American cowboys are out of control, don’t ever bring one home.” Her connection with the audience felt natural and playful. When someone cheekily asked if it was whiskey in her water bottle, she quipped back, “Now wouldn’t that be fun,” earning loud cheers and laughter.
One of the musical highlights of the night came during the bluesy number ‘Whiskey Blues‘, when her guitarist ripped into a searing solo. Tanner knelt in front of her bandmate in admiration, spotlighting the talent behind her and adding a dynamic visual to the powerful sound. She then introduced ‘Too Easy’ her first song featured in a movie (that movie being Twisters) to more applause and appreciation from the crowd.
The energy peaked during ‘Strawberry Crush‘, with thunderous cheers echoing around the room. “Yous are making me blush,” Tanner said, clearly enjoying the love from her Irish fans. Throughout the night, she rolled through a hit-packed setlist that included ‘FU 150‘ / ‘Throw It Back‘ / ‘Cowboy Break My Heart‘ and ‘Silverado‘, before closing the show with her bold, signature track and album title song, ‘Buckle Bunny‘.
The crowd were in a full-on party mood all night long, boots stomping, hats waving, and voices raised in chorus. Tanner Adell didn’t just perform; she created a shared experience, blending Nashville grit with pop sparkle and a whole lot of heart.
With a voice as strong as her stage presence and a set that blended fun, attitude, and genuine musicality, Tanner Adell’s Dublin debut was a reminder that country music knows no borders and this rising star is just getting started.
