total tommy shares debut single ‘microdose’ – while announces worldwide signing to PIAS

total tommy today shares her debut single, microdose. The song, made in close collaboration with Mark Zito and Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines DC), oozes lo-fi indie grunge sensibilities. It was written in total tommy’s bedroom studio in Sydney on a stormy night, about an addictive, all-consuming crush. The accompanying video, directed by HOLL and total tommy, is a grimy, nicotine-stained haze that gives a first look into total tommy’s aesthetic world.

On the new project, total tommy says –
“total tommy started when I moved cities, came out, and spent time properly getting to know myself. Parts of my brain got unlocked that I’d never been able to tap into before, and with that I quickly got to learn a lot about who I was. I partied so much with new queer friends, fell in love, made mistakes, and wrote music to make sense of it all”.

total tommy arrives armed with a boldness that is instantaneous and infectious. With great depth in her creative range and sonic versatility, comes a quiet confidence of an artist in control.

total tommy has signed with Astral People Management and also today announces her worldwide signing with [PIAS] Recordings (Nation Of Language / Lykke Li).

I knew straight away Jess was someone we had to work with. She’s got an incredible knack for writing these timeless emotive anthems that make me feel really, really good. That’s a beautiful thing and I don’t need much more. I bounce down the road when I’ve got total tommy on” – Russell Crank (PIAS)

Expect more from total tommy soon.
