Indie Rock/Pop Artist Lauren Ann – set to dominate music scenes with infectious, energetic and fierce new single ‘When The Party Ends’ set for release September 6th

Lauren Ann is a rock-pop grunge artist based in Belfast.
She signed to Faction Records on the same day she finished High School – a phenomenal achievement for someone who only started writing a year prior.

Between the strengths of her singles such as ‘Lucy’ which has over 68k streams on Spotify and ‘Bite’ which has seen her land coverage with the likes of Atwood Magazine, EARMILK and many more, Lauren Ann has proven that she is a young artist going from strength to strength and if that wasn’t enough convincing she has also curated a string of notable support slots with artists such as Tom Grennan in Custom House Square, NewDadSprints and Twin Atlantic as well as playing at President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins’ Garden party and festivals/showcasing events such as SXSW, Ireland Music WeekOutPut and Stendhal Festival.

Lauren has been compared to artists such as Olivia Rodrigo as she re-introduces guitars to the mainstream, it’s clear that Lauren Ann has limitless potential.
Her sound is described as a mix of grunge dynamics, garage rock exuberance and dreamy pop edge influences her music and writing style. Growing up listening to artists such as Nirvana, Pixies and The Cure, Lauren finds a way to shine these influences through her own music, making her tracks refreshing yet nostalgic to listen to, perfect for those missing the 90’s. With her new release on the horizon, Lauren is now looking to keep building her momentum and growing her fanbase even further.

The third single release off the long-awaited EP is titled ‘WHEN THE PARTY ENDS.’ It is a track that correlates with Pride.

“It’s about being around someone who is so full of pride. They never think of how their own actions impact others, making everyone around them feel like they aren’t good enough for them.”

Lauren describes this track as one of her favourites – “It’s quite different sonically, we added these really cool synths which I fell in love with. It just felt like a different process when recording this song.”‘WHEN THE PARTY ENDS’ was recorded in the late autumn of

2023 with producer Rocky O’Reilly in Start Together Studios based in Belfast.

On Lauren Ann’s EP titled ‘Devour’, she explores the Deadly Sins as an  alter ego. Lauren Ann is essentially going through her life and writes about her experiences with the Deadly Sins. ‘WHEN THE PARTY ENDS’ relates to the Deadly Sin of Pride.

“When I wrote it I didn’t really think of The Seven Deadly Sins but I feelnow that it fits in very well with that theme and how one’s prideaffects everyone around them. It’s about knowing someonewho was once very humble but has changed their personalityand has become prideful and arrogant through their success inlife. I wrote it based on my own experiences in the industry.Specifically this one person who let their fame get to their headand started treating everyone differently. It’s one thing to beproud of your accomplishments which is a very valid response, but it becomes toxic when it turns into a feeling that thosearound you are inferior.”
In this song Lauren Ann goes to an industry party with thisperson and doesn’t feel like she belongs. It explores thosefeelings of imposter syndrome.

‘WHEN THE PARTY ENDS’ is for fans of 90’s bands like NoDoubt and Hole as well as modern artists such as OliviaRodrigo and Beabadoobee.
