New single from experimental electronic/hyperpop producer LÂLKA

While LÂLKA is renowned for boundary-pushing electronic music, the artist’s latest
energetic track and its video titled ‘Yves Klein’ take things a step further still with
her first single from her upcoming Willfire EP.

LÂLKA, a classically trained artist gone rogue, crafts electrifying, unexpected music.
Her dark basslines meet soaring melodies with a touch of playful chaos. Critically
acclaimed, LÂLKA’s sonic rebellion brings club chaos to the underground music scene.

The title of her latest single is cleverly referenced in the track lyrics as a synonymous
adjective to loneliness, with the accent hue of blue which the pioneering French
artist Yves Klein was known for, being used in the corresponding visualiser to
represent loneliness:

“I wanna feel the opposite of loneliness
Feel the red flame to my Yves Klein
Summer to my midnight
Feel your warmth when I hold tight”

The electronic dance track leans heavily into the bass and trap genres and features
LÂLKA’s signature synth hooks and high-octane production.
“I wanted to incorporate hints of my Chinese and Bidayuh heritage into the music
without it being blatantly cliche,” the multi-instrumentalist explains. “The tuning
system of the ethnic instruments was definitely an interesting challenge to
incorporate into a dubstep/trap track like Yves Klein.”

When discussing the song’s meaning, LÂLKA says “this track is really energetic, just
like that one person who is the life of the party, who all the while feels deeply sad
and is masking that sadness which is revealed toward the end as the desolate
sounding piano is allowed to cut through.”

As usual, LÂLKA doesn’t just leave things here. She has collaborated with fans (who
contributed images) to create an exceptional visualiser using AI tools.
Yves Klein also marks the launch of the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that LÂLKA has
developed for the Willfire EP, where fans can solve puzzles, unlock hidden worlds
and win rewards.

“It’s a way I can share the whole experience with my fans” the artist notes. “Instead
of just listening to the music, they get to feel it and interact with it in a whole new
way.”
