Wormwood – unveil the official lyric video for “Purposeless Geometry”

The song portrays Stockholm from the margins of society, a city of buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure created to bring structure and direction to human existence. Yet as the sense of belonging fades, so too does the meaning of the surrounding world. What once symbolized function, progress, and purpose gradually dissolves into empty geometric forms within an environment where the individual has become alienated from both society and themselves.

In the lyric video, the words take center stage, accompanied by slow, almost documentary-like footage captured throughout Stockholm and its outskirts.

The video features previously unreleased handheld footage from the filming of the “YRA | EXTAS” music video, starring actress Astrid Hallén, alongside aerial drone footage shot by Svartna Film. The video also includes a separate acting performance by Crister Claesson.

The result serves as a visual extension of the song‘s central theme: humanity placed amid the monumental structures of the modern city, while their original purpose slowly erodes and disappears.

“PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY” is one of two tracks featured on WORMWOOD‘s EP Å, available on vinyl, CD and all major streaming platforms.
