thrown – announce their first ever Irish show set for The Academy, Dublin

Since forming in 2021, Swedish heavy weights thrown have been mesmerising the metal world with their signature blend of aural violence, live intensity and enigmatic performances. thrown are undoubtedly the most listened to new metal artist right now, having already amassed over 105 million streams worldwide since the release of their debut single.

In 2022 thrown released their debut EP »EXTENDED PAIN« which has been sitting in Spotify’s Top 200 Global Metal Chart for almost a year, with over 50 million streams across its five songs. By late 2023 thrown had nearly one million listeners, been hitting Spotify’s Viral Top-50 in both Australia and USA and had taken the stage by storm touring with Knocked Loose, Fit For A King, Emmure, Counterparts and many more massive artists throughout North America, Europe and Australia. 

Recently, the band achieved another milestone by winning the “Best Breakthrough Live Artist” award at the Heavy Music Awards 2024, which took place at the O2 Arena in Kentish Town, London.

Now with unique 1.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and huge international touring plans ahead, thrown are set to be the biggest breakout metal band of the decade with the release of »EXCESSIVE GUILT«.
