The Peawees released their new album ‘One Ride‘ on 6th September via Wild Honey Records.
The band have previously shared five singles from the album: ‘The Wolf‘, a powerful song that meanders between garage, rock’n’roll and soul, all served with a modern touch, ‘Plastic Bullets‘, an in-your-face instant punk classic and ‘Lost in the Middle‘, a driving, garage-punk soundtrack to a love gone sour and ‘Banana Tree‘, a true soul-inspired garage rocker and finally ‘You’ll Never Be Mine Again‘, featuring The Detroit Cobras.
To celebrate the release of the new album, today they share a new video for ‘Drive’.
In 1995, seeking an escape from the boredom of the small Italian military town of La Spezia, three teenagers, led by Hervé Peroncini, turned to music. They began producing Punk Rock n’ Roll, determined to break free from the monotony that surrounded them.
Active for over 25 years, The Peawees have taken their Punk Rock roots and dosed them with R’n’B, Roots Rock, Soul and Garage influences while staying true to their rock’n’roll upbringings. The result is a unique sound that has taken them touring across the globe, where they have shared the stage and toured with the likes of The Sonics, The Fleshtones, The Dwarves and Radio Birdman.
The current line-up consists of founding frontman and songwriter Hervé Peroncini, ex-Nick Curran and The Lowlifes drummer and Texican transplant to Italy Tommy Gonzalez, Dario Persi (guitar, backing vocals) and Fabio Clemente (bass).
