The Manatees – announces headline at The Workman’s Cellar, Dublin

Hailing from a sleepy town on the south coast of England, The Manatees (Jay, Tyler & Miller) combine hip-hop samples, funk inspired bass lines, thrashing guitars and candid lyrics to carve out their own soundscape within modern indie rock.

The three school friends flew into 2023 with sold out shows across the country and their debut EP, ‘Dream in Colour’ released by Fierce Panda Records, warranting them a Jack Saunders Next Wave featured artist interview on BBC Radio 1 as well as significant support from BBC Radio 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Chris Hawkins). Across the summer the band made appearances at the Isle of Wight Festival, Y Not and The Hundred x BBC Introducing.

The Manatees had a huge 2024, releasing their second EP, Different State of Mind, in February, followed by a UK headline tour in April and a trip to SXSW in Austin, Texas.
