Terminal Sleep – sign to Nuclear Blast Records + release video for new single ‘They Circle Below’

Melbourne metalcore band TERMINAL SLEEP are proud to announce they have signed to Nuclear Blast Records. Formed in 2022 and shaped over the pandemic, the band are unapologetic about their fierce style; a melting pot of heavy music championing self-empowerment and gender equality as well as the importance of mental health. This message of music with substance is just one facet that fans can expect alongside the reputation of delivering an explosive live performance. The past year has been a whirlwind having played with the likes of COUNTERPARTSSPEEDKUBLAI KHANHARMSWAY, and GATES TO HELL as well as adding several festivals to their intensive resume.

TERMINAL SLEEP comments, “It is a privilege to be welcomed into the family amongst so many legendary bands we grew up listening to, and fresh new bands we have on repeat. We could not be more excited to bring in the new era of Terminal Sleep with Tommy and the whole team at Nuclear Blast!”

Nuclear Blast American Label Manager & A&R Tommy Jones comments, “Last year a pal of mine hit me with a link and said ‘check this out’. It was to a few unreleased songs by Terminal Sleep from Melbourne, Australia. One listen and a bit of research and I was all the way in! Last January, I saw the TS crew from down under in Hamburg Germany …and holy hopping kangaroos, I was completely blown away! Bec was in full on beastmode and I thought she was going to eliminate the entire room. A must see. I am ecstatic to usher in Terminal Sleep to the worldwide Nuclear Blast family! LFG, don’t sleep!”

Today, TERMINAL SLEEP present their new standalone single, ‘They Circle Below‘. The track and music video provide a frantic experience staggering between grooves and head banging perfectly packaged in their fusion of metal and hardcore. ‘They Circle Below‘ was recorded at Chameleon Studios in Sydney, Australia. The track was produced, engineered and mixed by Elliott Gallart while Brad Boatright handled mastering at Audioseige. Watch the music video directed by Jack Fontes (Fonte Visuals).

TERMINAL SLEEP‘s singer Bec Thorwesten states, The song explores the journey of navigating one’s self-doubt and the drowning pressure of self-set expectations; overcoming mental turmoil and the only way out being through.”

09 Jul Manchester, UK @ Star And Garter
10 Jul Swansea, UK @ The Bunkhouse
