Everyone’s favourite new band Sunday (1994) have unveiled their highly anticipated sophomore EP, Devotion, via RCA.
The six-song collection finds the transatlantic trio building on the success of their critically acclaimed debut EP, further expanding their cinematic world of sharp wit and the artful romanticism of the everyday.
“A wild-hearted companion to our first. Each song converses, conspires, or is a continuation of one that came before. Which basically means they’re connected. You have to figure out which ones and how. Answers on a post card.” – Sunday (1994).
Leading the EP is the new single, ‘Silver Ford’ – a burst of bright-eyed energy wrapped in distorted guitars and sweet, aching vocals. The band said: “It’s a song about a clandestine love waged against the grim authority of religion. A whispered rebellion, dreaming of trading a colourless life of loneliness for a sun-kissed world where love writes the only scripture.”
This past Sunday, the trio also released title single ‘Devotion’ as an early surprise for fans, along with their usual Sunday Service fan newsletter. Quintessentially Sunday (1994), “’Devotion’” is a love letter scrawled on the back of a beer mat, about a night in an English pub where the ceilings sag, the ale is flat, and the heart, against all good sense, rises.” Watch the visualiser here.
The EP also includes previous tracks ‘Rain’ and ‘Doomsday’. Both songs marked the band’s first releases of 2025 and are accompanied by self-shot, self-directed music videos that perfectly capture Sunday (1994)’s signature visual style.
