Stay Safe – unveil the new single ‘Catastrophe’

Manchester pop punks Stay Safe are roaring back into the scene with their first new music in almost a year. Their brand new single, Catastrophe, is set for release on the 31st of July.

Featuring a huge main distorted riff and vocal hooks all over the place, Catastrophe is a modern slice of pop punk forged with the best bits of the genre, destined to lodge itself in your head for days, if not weeks at a time.

“We wanted Catastrophe to tell the story of a relationship through the lens of the roles couples’ play- sometimes when things aren’t quite right it can feel like you’re just going through the motions and playing the role you’re supposed to rather than actually being present. And whilst we do wanna express ourselves as songwriters, pop punk’s at its best when it’s FUN. The track might have these kinda emo lyrics, it’s an absolute bop based around this massive riff, and a video that fits that 2010’s pop punk comedy vibe, playing on the whole cinematography concept and way too many costume changes.“

Stay Safe are preparing to hit the road across the UK in August with a combination of special guest slots & headline shows on a tour with their good friends, Bristol emo/alt-rockers downcast. 

For the first part of the tour, with shows in London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol, downcast will handle headline duties with Stay Safe as special guests. For the last two shows of the tour, a hometown show in Manchester, and Huddersfield, things flip and Stay Safe take over as headliners.

CF98 will also be onboard for the first half of the tour, helping to open proceedings at the London, Birmingham and Cardiff dates.
