Shadow of Intent unveil “Infinity of Horrors,” the third single from their upcoming full-length Imperium Delirium (out June 27 via Blood Blast Distribution). The track arrives with a stark visual companion that pulls no punches.
Where lead single “Feeding the Meatgrinder” opened fire on systemic violence and military machinery, “Infinity of Horrors” dives deeper into the psychological toll of war and conquest. Through a devastating sonic architecture—equal parts orchestral grandiosity, dissonant riffing, and suffocating breakdowns—the band exposes the deeper rot beneath the battlefield. In place of a traditional quote, the band offer a sobering reflection from Florence Nightingale, whose words still echo today:
“What the horrors of war are, no one can imagine. They are not wounds and blood and fever, spotted and low, or dysentery, chronic and acute, cold and heat and famine. They are intoxication, drunken brutality, demoralization and disorder on the part of the inferior… jealousies, meanness, indifference, selfish brutality on the part of the superior.”
