Sapphic soul pop star Lyvia – shares new EP ‘Be Right There…’

From previous EP Running Late, to Be Right There…LYVIA is on her way to releasing her highly anticipated mixtape, with fans and industry gearing up for her arrival….

Nottingham’s own soul-pop provocateur LYVIA has today unveiled EP Be Right There..., the next instalment of her upcoming mixtape. The trio of songs showcases the artist’s versatility both sonically and in terms of sides-of-self, boasting a playful pop song (with the previously released Little White Lie), an introspective singer-songwriter offering, on the piano and vocal-led ‘Figure It Out’, and a heartbreak anthem, with lead track ‘Loved U More’Be Right There…. highlights the artist’s ability to move seamlessly between styles, while staying rooted in raw emotion and storytelling.

The songs explore every facets of love – being in it, out of it, and broken from it“Broke someone’s heart, got my heartbroken and then fell into the deepest love I’ve ever had. That’s what you get on Be Right There…”.

On lead track ‘Loved U More’, LYVIA says: “It took me like 3 years to write about the hurt from this ex, and then when I finally did it came out in the form of Loved U More. I definitely loved her more than she loved me”. With impressive vocal runs, a pop-savvy chorus, and an irresistibly hooky melody, ‘Loved U More’ is poised for airwave domination.

The release follows last month’s ‘Little White Lie’ – included on the project –  a rhythmic gem about stumbling into an unexpected truth (“a story about kissing a girl while I had a boyfriend”). Earning support from the likes of Rolling Stone UK, The Line of Best Fit and Ones To Watch, the track emerged as LYVIA’s most dynamic release yet. Watch the visualiser, out today.

Be Right There… is a continuation from LYVIA’s Running Late EP, a mini collection of songs which introduced LYVIA’s first major era. Watch the visuliser for lead track ‘X, an emotive ballad that hits the heart. Be Right There… is part 2 of a forthcoming mixtape which promises to cement the artist’s place as one of the UK’s most compelling emerging voices – authentic, unapologetic and impossible to ignore. Previous standout tracks such as viral bop ‘Trippin’ – which now has 10 million streams on Spotify alone – ‘Thesis’ and Flight With My Ex‘ have seen LYVIA embark on a journey from the heart of her native Nottingham to the world stage.

LYVIA’s highly anticipated UK tour starts next week, and will include headline dates at venues such as Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms and London’s The Garage. Full dates below and remaining tickets available to purchase HERE.
