Reevah – shares impassioned new single ‘Take What You Can’

Derry indie-pop songstress Reevah has released her impassioned new single ‘Take What You Can’ today via Bloom Records (FACTION MUSIC).

Evolving from singer-songwriter beginnings towards an alternative-pop sound, Reevah (Aoife Boyle) has emerged as one of Northern Ireland’s most promising talents. Her debut album Daylight Savings, earned an NI Music Prize ‘Album of the Year’ nomination, following extensive praise across BBC Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Radio 1, CLASH, Hot Press, District Magazine and more.

Marking her first release since this acclaimed debut LP, ‘Take What You Can’ introduces a fresh chapter for the artist, seeing her blend heart-on-sleeve pop with country balladry that bridges her early-era sound with a more refined direction. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Olivia Dean, Role Model and CMAT, Reevah continues to channel resilience and feminine strength into a sound that burrows deep into the heart and soul.

Written on a Summer’s day in a small studio in her native Derry with longtime collaborator Brian Doherty,  ‘Take What You Can’ unfolded effortlessly from the beginning:

“It was one of those tracks that had almost written itself” Reevah says. “The story was already there, just waiting to be told. It feels like it paves the way for what’s to come, carrying through my previous sensibilities, themes, and sounds, but with a touch of something new and fresh. I really wanted to incorporate pedal steel guitar into this song – there’s  something really fun and embracing about the tonal palette it creates and incorporating more country-leaning elements has always felt really natural to me.”

The single sets the tone for Reevah’s highly anticipated sophomore album: A hard-hitting but honest reflection on trust, betrayal, and the moment the truth finally cuts through the noise. She explains, “It’s about people who take kindness for weakness and the quiet strength it takes to stand still while everything unravels, knowing the truth will always rise.”

With her signature atmospheric production and dulcet vocals, ‘Take What You Can’ sees Reevah continue to carve out a distinct space in Ireland’s music scene; one defined by an unflinching embrace of vulnerability and a refreshed sense of fearlessness.

As her sophomore LP glimmers on the horizon for 2026, ‘Take What You Can’ sets the stage for an incredibly exciting year ahead.
