Public Image Limited (PIL) lead by John Lydon, love him or hate him that man is one hell of a front man and performer with his ever so charismatic stage presence of stances and stares and thats even before we got to the vocals.
Arriving on stage wearing an over sized green tartan jacket and green trousers right from the get-go Lydon had the crowd in the palm of his had like an evil commanding jester and opening the set with ‘Home’ came as a surprise to hear it so early in the set, but it set the tone for the night as it wasnt long before we got ‘Love Song’ which of-course drew massive cheers from the crowd.
There wasnt much chat from Lydon, only here and there did he speak between songs, the main chat coming when he berated the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter.
On the song front John was in great form and the whole night couldn’t have sounded any better as he himself pointed out that his voce was probably in good form due to his constant running nose LOL which he was seen having to clear pretty regularly.
Opening band on the night came from Spanish Horses.
