After a three-year hiatus, Swedish alternative rock outfit Port Noir make a powerful return with their brand-new single “Redshift”, released today via InsideOutMusic. This marks the band’s first new music since 2022 and their official comeback to the progressive label InsideOutMusic.
Following the release of their 2022 album Cuts, Port Noir are entering a new era with “Redshift”. Formed in Södertälje, Sweden, the trio has built a reputation for blending rock, alternative, and pop influences with a dark, cinematic edge. Their return to InsideOutMusic — the label that supported some of their most acclaimed releases — signals a renewed creative momentum and a homecoming of sorts
“Redshift” serves as both a reintroduction and a statement of intent. The song pairs atmospheric tension with Port Noir’s signature rhythmic drive, combining modern production with emotional depth.
The band comments on the new single:
“We’re thrilled to finally share our new single “Redshift.” It’s heavier, darker and pulsing with raw intensity, capturing our renewed energy and creative drive. With “Redshift,” we wanted to create something that hits harder than anything we’ve done before but still carries the melodic tension and atmosphere that define Port Noir.
It’s both a reflection and a rebirth. It’s a bridge between where we’ve been and where we’re going, a reset and a push forward.
“Redshift” sets the tone for what’s to come.”
Accompanying the release is a visually striking music video that complements the song’s atmospheric intensity. With “Redshift,” Port Noir not only reintroduce themselves to longtime fans but also signal a new creative chapter that promises innovation and emotional resonance.
