Oscar Blue, Calum Agnew, The Riptide Movement and Tracy Bruen – to play across May bank Holiday Weekend in Galway at Momentum Festival

Some of Ireland’s most impactful acts have been revealed to play across the weekend of the inaugural Momentum Festival, which takes place in Oranmore, Galway this May bank Holiday weekend.

Friday, May 1st will see Irish rock icons The Stunning joined by indie rock favourites The Riptide Movement and spellbinding Galway singer-songwriter Tracy Bruen.

Sunday, May 3rd will see chart-toppers The Coronas supported by two of Ireland’s buzziest rising stars of the moment: singer-songwriter Oscar Blue and soul-pop artist Calum Agnew – both of whom have highly anticipated new projects on the way. Oscar Blue will release his debut album Birds In Winter in April, and Calum Agnew’s debut EP will land at the end of this month.

Momentum’s Commercial Director, Olivia Breene, who is a resident of Oranmore, where the festival takes place, says: “A huge part of the impetus behind Momentum is the drive that co-founders Cian Burke and Trevor Cullinane have to support both local and up-and-coming artists, and have those who are at the early stage of their careers sharing stages alongside seasoned and acclaimed acts like The Stunning and The Coronas. Oscar Blue and Calum Agnew are such exciting new artists on the scene in Ireland at the moment, and we’re delighted to have them appearing as special guests of The Coronas, for what promises to be an amazing May bank holiday Sunday night. We’re also super excited to welcome The Riptide Movement – who always set the crowd alight with their sing-a-long set – and our very own Tracy Bruen, who is like Glway’s answer to Joni Mitchell or Kate Bush – to have her sharing a stage in Oranmore with fellow Galwegians The Stunning will be a very special opening night indeed.”

With Friday and Sunday’s lineup now fully revealed, momentum continues to build as festival-goers await the complete reveal of Saturday’s lineup, with 90s and 00s nostalgia from B*witched, D:Ream, Rednex and Mark McCabe already announced.

The excitement won’t end there – the festival’s first edition will close with flair on Monday, May 4th, with a specially curated lineup of events that will be revealed very soon.

All performances will take place under The Crescendo Tent, a tented live music space with a nightly capacity of 4,200. Designed to elevate the live experience while keeping audiences close to the moment, the venue forms the beating heart of Momentum’s first chapter.

Arriving with purpose and pace, Momentum takes place across four days from Friday 1st to Monday 4th 2026, setting the tone for a weekend where live music, community and place come together to create moments that matter.

Momentum Festival 2026 takes place from Friday, May 1st to Monday, May 4th at Ard na Mara, Oranmore, Co.Galway, subject to venue licence. Tickets on sale now from momentum.ie and ticketmaster.ie
