Forbidden Fruit Festival and Addison Rae headline a standout few days for Dublin 8, and here’s everything you need to know. 

Dublin 8 has a big week ahead. Forbidden Fruit Festival takes over the Royal Hospital Kilmainham this Bank Holiday Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st, with Addison Rae following on Wednesday 3rd June for what looks like one of the pop shows of the summer at IMMA. From stage times and ticket info to food, drink and essential info, here’s everything you need to know about both.

Now in its 14th year, Forbidden Fruit returns to the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for two days of electronic, hip hop and alternative music across five stages. This year’s headliners are KAYTRANADA, NIA ARCHIVES, KETTAMA and JOY CROOKES. A lineup that has made this one of the most talked-about Irish summer festivals. 

The festival is officially SOLD OUT. Please do not arrive without a valid ticket. Do not purchase tickets from unofficial sellers. Join the Ticketmaster waitlist for any official returns.

Addison Rae headlines IMMA for one of the most anticipated pop shows of the Irish summer. Fresh from a Coachella headline slot and the critical acclaim surrounding her debut album Addison, she continues her rise as one of pop’s fastest-growing stars. 

Special guests on the night are Florence Road and Empress Of.

FOOD & DRINK 

The same festival food village applies to both shows. Fuel up between sets with a stacked lineup of festival traders serving everything from smoky BBQ and slow roasted hog to fresh gyros, loaded burritos and global street food favourites. Farm Hog Roast, Pitt Bros, Greek Street Food and Zambrero return alongside bold flavours from Little Dumpling, Gidi’s and Biang Biang, while Gaucho’s, All Bar Chicken, Wacky Hat and Loaded bring festival staples across the site. Sweet options covered by Goldenhill Farm, Mrs Whippy and Coffee & Donuts

Addison Rae attendees aged 16+ must be accompanied by an adult over 25
No large bags – A4 size or smaller (no bag = faster entry) 
Travel-size sunscreen & hand sanitiser (100ml) are permitted
No re-entry – day tickets are scanned once per day. Weekend tickets once per day on arrival
We’re in a residential area – please leave the site quietly and respect our neighbours

STAY SAFE & SOUND 

Drink water, take breaks and eat throughout the day. Keep your group’s numbers written down in case of lost phones and always look out for one another. Practise active consent and respect those around you. If you need assistance at any stage, visit the Info Point or Medical Tent, and if you feel unwell, go straight to the medics. Use the bins, use the toilets and be sound – everyone deserves to feel safe and have a brilliant experience.
