Nokomis will release her haunting new single ‘Pleasure to Suffer’ today on Creation
Youth, the new label from former Creation label boss and artist manager Alan McGee and
Grammy-winning producer and Killing Joke bassist Martin ‘Youth’ Glover.
Born in Texas and raised in Edinburgh, Nokomis has been fighting her demons for as long as she
can remember — battling addiction, living close to the edge and sometimes falling into the abyss.
Her haunting vocals and unflinching lyricism confront the ghosts of her past, turning pain into
art.
Produced by Danny Monk and Mike Marlin, her sound is both fragile and powerful — dark,
uncompromising, and utterly mesmerizing. Walking the razor line between pleasure and pain,
Nokomis is an intoxicating artist who stands in her own space in the musical landscape,
demanding to be heard.
