The first release via her new independent label Apple Tree Records‘Mountain Music’ sees Nina going back to the folk and Americana roots that first inspired her passion for songwriting. The most authentic and honest album of her career to date, it’s a record that explores her own perspective: a girl who grew up in a Scottish village and spent her turbulent twenties in London, where her career put her in the public eye.

The album emerged after Nina overcame a personal crisis. Overwhelmed by the constant demand of social media, she stepped away and focused purely on songwriting: first landing a smash hit for K-Pop giants IVE before her own creativity was reignited after she left London for a new home in the countryside with her long-term partner. That was where ‘Mountain Music’ took shape. Featuring ‘Mansion’ as well as the recent tracks ‘On The Run’ and ‘Pages’, the album was produced by Peter Miles and Nina at his Middle Farm Studios in Devon.

Nina Nesbitt rose to fame at a young age with her disarming, candid pop – her artistry winning an influential star with Taylor Swift and leading to stadium shows as guest to Coldplay. This new era was inspired, in part, by the tour years she spent in the States in support of her critically acclaimed second album ‘The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change’, which has since exceeded a billion streams.
