Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen – embraces her metal roots with new album announcement + ‘Bring Me Silence’ single

FLOOR JANSEN
opens a heavier and more direct chapter in her solo career today with the release of her new single ‘Bring Me Silence’ via REVAMP Music / Warner Music. The track serves as the official announcement of the Nightwish vocalist’s upcoming studio album, “Hytress”, set for release on 15th January 2027.

“The world is constantly demanding your attention. Sometimes it becomes so overwhelming that you can barely hear yourself anymore. ‘Bring Me Silence’ is about that longing for space in your head and for clarity, a moment where all is quiet and you can breathe all the way to your belly again and feel satisfied and at peace.”

She continues: “This song is one of the first ones we wrote for the new album. Musically, it feels very natural to me. Metal has always been an important part of who I am. Its power, directness, and intensity are deeply rooted in me as an artist. At the same time, my solo work has allowed me to discover more openness and vulnerability. In ‘Bring Me Silence’, those sides come together in a very organic way.”

Following the release of her debut solo album Paragon” and the recent single ‘RUN‘, Jansen steps into this new phase with strong international momentum. Her solo catalogue has accumulated nearly 150 million streams, alongside close to 1 million monthly Spotify listeners and 600,000 Instagram followers.

The new album “Hytress” does not look back for the sake of nostalgia, but rather takes the weight of her past and moves it forward into something sharper and unmistakably her own. ‘Bring Me Silence’ builds on this foundation with down-tuned guitars, layered vocals, and her signature vocal power, without losing the emotional depth of her songwriting.

The release of “Hytress” sets the tone for an extensive international live run. Moving between the fierce energy of her festival shows and the intimacy of her recent sold-out theatre tour, the HYTRESS Tour 2027 will capture the full spectrum of Jansen’s musical identity.

Concurrently, Jansen confirms the comprehensive HYTRESS Tour, bringing her and her full live band to club stages across Europe and South America in January 2027.

Known as one of the most versatile and commanding voices in modern rock and metal, Jansen has recently expanded her solo live presence with main stage performances at Wacken Open Air, Masters of Rock, and Sweden Rock.
