New Single – ‘Signals’ & EP Announcement & Irish Tour from Indie Singer Songwriter Sadhbh Keane

Tagged as Irish Times One to Watch 2024, given Sadhbh’s 12 track back catalogue, she has earned acclaim from national and international music industry folk, fans and festival goers. Her 2023 debut EP Passion + Paper was celebrated for its lyrical depth and musical maturity, and her singles have consistently found support across RTE Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, Bauer Media, BBC, and independent stations nationally and abroad. With echoes of Boygenius intimacy, the raw, propulsive energy of Fontaines D.C. mixed with Sam Fender indie vibe and riffs, Sadhbh threads detailed storytelling with an indie-rock edge, drawing listeners into a visceral soundscape that swells with emotion. Through her songwriting, Sadhbh effortlessly flows from cryptic metaphors to unswervingly honest vulnerability. Sadhbh’s band Na Reálta; Oisin, Jay and Claudia have immense talent, musicianship and performance presence.

Previous Live Highlights:
With support from MCD, Sadhbh has: Toured nationally supporting Ryan McMullan, including 3 Olympia Theatre
Played Forest Fest, Kaleidoscope x 2, Galway Folk Festival, and the Ruby Sessions
x 2

2026 – Sadhbh first headline tour to promote the release on October 23rd of Anam, her sophomore EP, will culminate in a Headline Show Upstairs in Whelan’s on the 30th of October (SOLD OUT)

In Signals, Sadhbh’s songwriting again excels through her uniquely human perspective. Telling the story of addiction as a relationship; the song surfaces the
destructive and compulsive nature of the relationship by writing in the first person to the drug. While rooted in addiction, the overarching metaphor connects with anyone
who has ever bargained with a bad habit, traded with a destructive partner, or felt stranded in a cycle they can’t seem to escape.

Produced by Ber Quinn (Pillow Queens, The Divine Comedy, Lisa Hannigan) the track is acoustically led with a surround sound and melody of deep sonic texture provided by Sadhbh’s outstanding band Na Reálta. The music and production beautifully compliments and compounds the brooding intensity of the song’s story.

Sadhbh’s vocals excel, drenched in authenticity and emotion.
Signals was recorded in Sonic Studio Dublin 7 with Sadhbh’s band; Oisin Conroy on lead guitar, Jay-Lee Trieu on bass and Claudia Preston on drums.

“I wrote Signals after seeing the impact of addiction. Seeing similarities to toxic relationships allowed me to write Signals in the first person to the drug. I tried to put myself in a person’s shoes who is struggling with that endless loop.” – Sadhbh Keane
