New Dublin alternative Indie duo Barkbeat – share their debut single ‘Exit Wound’

New Dublin alternative Indie duo Barkbeat share their debut single Exit Wound’. The track is available to stream now on all streaming platforms.

‘Exit Wound’ is the leading single from their forthcoming EP ‘Doghouse’ releasing February 6th 2025.

The debut EP from Barkbeat (Morkhaus – Mark Lombard and Aoife – Aoife McGrath), marks the culmination of years of musical collaboration between two best friends. Spurred on by Lombard’s move to Vancouver, the project came together as a way to honor this chapter of their friendship and their countless demos sitting idle on Google Drives.

The EP is a lyrical exploration of heartbreak — from the depths of grief and the peaks of radical joy, to finally finding peace in acceptance. McGrath’s raw, emotional lyrics and guitar playing guide the journey, while Lombard’s ambient production and performance provide a comforting, cinematic backdrop to the story. Doghouse is more than just a collection of songs — it’s a testament to the safe space between friends, where words flow freely without judgment and where love and understanding are always guaranteed.
