A climbing figure in rock’s ranks, Matt-Felix, returns with his debut physical release, Secrets From The First Floor – a double LP gatefold vinyl that brings together his debut and sophomore EPs, Kingdom Of You & Me and Dark Enough To See. The collection features two brand-new exclusive tracks, ‘Nightmares & Queens and ‘Stay With Me Now’, offering fans both a retrospective and a glimpse into his ever-evolving sound.
Fresh off the road with indie breakout outfit Balancing Act, Matt-Felix continues his momentum with the announcement of his next London headline show at Camden Assembly on July 9th, with support from Pack Of Animals – tickets here. Fans can also experience a glimpse of his unwavering live prowess on the live version of his latest single, ‘The Carnival’, at O2 Academy Brixton here.
‘The Carnival’, is a longtime fan favourite from his live set. It blends Matt-Felix’s signature crooning vocal style with driving guitar riffs and richly emotive keys. It captures both the raw energy of its creation and the atmospheric depth that has become synonymous with his sound. Matt-Felix muses, “I wrote The Carnival on an out of tune piano at my grandparents’ house, and it’s a song about wanting to get out of your own head. I’ve played it live at every single show since day one, and it’s one of the best the band and I perform.”
