Loud Women Festival – Comes to Dublin This Summer

LOUD WOMEN Fest Dublin takes over the legendary Fibber Magees on Saturday 29 August, showcasing an all-day lineup of women and non-binary artists from Ireland and beyond. Following successful festivals in London, New York, Bristol, Melbourne, Berlin and across an ever-growing international network, Dublin becomes the latest city to join the global LOUD WOMEN family.

Founded in London by musician and campaigner Cassie Fox in 2015, LOUD WOMEN has grown into an international community of more than 600 volunteers putting on gigs, festivals, radio shows, a record label, a music website and a monthly ezine, all with one simple mission: to put more women on more stages.

“Women and non-binary musicians are making some of the most exciting music anywhere right now,” says Cassie Fox, founder of LOUD WOMEN. “Ireland has an incredible DIY scene packed with brilliant artists, so bringing LOUD WOMEN Fest to Dublin feels long overdue. We’re excited to celebrate those artists, introduce them to new audiences and build new connections across the Irish music community.”

LOUD WOMEN has become one of the world’s best-known grassroots music communities, with festivals and events now taking place across the UK, Ireland, North America, mainland Europe, Japan and Australia. Since launching in 2015, it has helped hundreds of artists reach new audiences, while creating opportunities for women and non-binary musicians to collaborate internationally.

The organisation has welcomed artists including Nova Twins, Lambrini Girls, Allison Wolfe, Hagar the Womb, Kathy Valentine, War on Women and many more, while continuing to champion emerging DIY artists alongside established names.

LOUD WOMEN Fest Dublin promises a full day of punk, indie, alternative and rock music in one
of Ireland’s most iconic independent music venues.

The inaugural LOUD WOMEN Fest Dublin lineup features:
● Bill Ricky (Nova Scotia, Canada)
● DC Dolls (Dublin)
● Dose (Dublin)
● FOSFÍN (Dublin)
● Holy Show (Dublin)
● I, Doris (London)
● Molly Vulpyne (Dublin)
● Second Idol (Sydney)
