Lauren Wallace – releases heartfelt debut EP ‘Salt Stained Lungs’ with focus track ‘People Who Love People’

‘Lauren Wallace is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. Her music blends influences from contemporary pop artists like Gracie Abrams and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as Irish musicians, both new and established, who have shaped the singer-songwriter genre. With a fresh perspective, Lauren is developing her own sound, rooted in both modern pop and with an undeniably Indie flavour celebrating her intimate yet artful lyricism’

Having enlisted the guidance and support of vocal coach and producer Jono Mc Neil, who’s client list includes Jade, Little Mix, The Voice UK among many others, Lauren releases her debut EP ‘Salt Stained Lungs’, with the stunning focus track ‘People Who Love People’.

‘Salt Stained Lungs’

I’m so incredibly proud of my debut EP, and have practically been working on it for the last four years. In that time I’ve grown a lot both as a person and as a songwriter, and I think that defintely comes across in the songs, especially salt stained lungs which is such a special track for me. I’m also really proud of the feature track People Who Love People as i feel it has really helped me develop my sound as an artist and makes me excited for all the music yet to come !

“Salt Stained Lungs is an incredibly important song for me, and I’m so proud that it’s made it onto the EP. For as long as I can remember, I’ve spent every summer in Kerry with my family, and that’s where my idea for this song originated from. Last summer, my dad wasn’t able to make it down to Kerry with us, so I started writing salt stained lungs in late August to try and bring a bit of Dunquin back to him while he was in London. Unfortunately I didn’t get it to him in time, and he never got to hear it, but I hope you’ll all find something to love in it as it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written. “

People Who Love People

“People Who Love People is probably my favourite song off my debut EP, Salt Stained Lungs, and is definitely one of the first songs that made me feel like a ‘proper’ musician. Thankfully, a few weeks out from release, it still feels like the most authentic song I’ve ever written and I’m so head over heels in love with it. I still have the first draft of it saved on my phone from last July from when I was writing it with my cousin at like one in the morning and we were trying so hard not to wake anyone up downstairs. I love looking back on it sometimes just to see how far it’s come in such a short time. It’s got layers upon layers of beautiful production (and lyrics that I’m actually proud of) so I hope you’re able to enjoy listening to it even a little bit as much as I do.” – Lauren Wallace
